I am truly honored and humbled to announce that I have been awarded the Brands for Life title at the Phoenix Arts & Design Awards 2024, standing out among 100+ talented participants across Sri Lanka. This award is a recognition of creativity, innovation, and the ability to craft a brand identity that is not just visually striking but also timeless and meaningful.
The Story Behind the Design
At the heart of this award-winning design is the Breeze chair, a masterpiece of form and functionality. The logo and icon were meticulously crafted, inspired by the elegant lines and angles of the chair itself. The icon, a refined abstraction of the side angle of the Breeze chair, was designed to rotate 45 degrees, symbolizing endless renewal, transformation, and the resilience of the Phoenix.
The design philosophy was rooted in the idea of timelessness, adaptability, and continuous evolution—qualities that define strong and enduring brands. Just as the Phoenix rises and renews itself, this design reflects the ability of a brand to grow, transform, and stand the test of time.
A Palette That Captures the Spirit of Summer
The color palette was carefully curated to evoke the warmth, vibrancy, and tranquility of a perfect summer day. Each shade was chosen to convey a sense of relaxation, vitality, and effortless elegance—qualities that align with the brand’s essence. This harmony of colors doesn’t just create a visually appealing identity but also resonates emotionally, capturing the carefree and refreshing spirit of summer.
